The long-awaited 4K ULTRA HD release of "2001: A Space Odyssey," one of the masterpieces by Stanrick Kubrick, comes out with a steelbook packaging with newly designed artwork! "2001: A Space Odyssey" won an Academy Award (R) for its euphoric depiction of the battle between man and computer. Kubrick (who co-wrote the screenplay with Arthur C. Clarke) has managed to transcend thousands of years of time (in one of the greatest jump cut scenes in film history), from prehistoric apes to the colonization of space. This 3-disc set includes the 4K ULTRA HD & HD Digitally Remastered Blu-ray with Japanese dubbing, plus a bonus disc. In addition to the steelbook with newly designed key art by Matt Ferguson & Flory of the UK-based art studio VICE PRESS, the set also includes 7 art cards (double-sided) and 2 posters (single-sided & double-sided) in an original envelope. *Ultra HD Blu-ray player is necessary to play this Ultra HD Blu-ray disc.
